Faculty of Finance congratulates the New Director of the Banking Academy of Vietnam

FACULTY OF FINANCE CONGRATULATES THE NEW DIRECTOR OF THE BANKING ACADEMY

On the morning of April 14, 2026, at the headquarters, the Banking Academy of Vietnam held a ceremony to announce and present the Decision of the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam on the appointment of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huu Toan – Secretary of the Party Committee and former Chairman of the Academy Council – as Director of the BAV, effective from April 15, 2026.

At the ceremony, Mr. Pham Duc An – Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, and Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam – presented the Decision and congratulated Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huu Toan. This appointment reflects the attention of the State Bank of Vietnam’s leadership to strengthening the governance structure, while meeting the need to enhance leadership capacity, management efficiency, and the implementation of the Academy’s strategic missions in the new context.

In his directive remarks, Governor Pham Duc An affirmed the important role of the Banking Academy in training human resources for the sector and outlined nine key task groups covering training, research, governance, and international integration.

In his acceptance speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huu Toan expressed his deep appreciation for the trust placed in him by the Party Committee, the leadership of the State Bank of Vietnam, and the Banking Academy. He affirmed his commitment to developing and implementing a comprehensive action plan to effectively realize the strategic directions set by the Governor.

The Banking Academy extends its sincere congratulations to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huu Toan on his new position and expresses confidence that, with his capability, intellect, leadership, and dedication, he will guide the Academy to new heights—enhancing the quality of education and research while successfully fulfilling its strategic missions for the sector and the national economy.
